School and College Competition
As a part of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, School and College Competitions are held every year from July to September by Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai and Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya. About 8,000 students enthusiastically participate in these competitions. There are 16 categories in different subjects for the K.G. to Senior College level students, including teachers. They are conducted in four languages i.e. in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English on different subjects i.e. Drawing, Recitation of Poems, Recitation of Passages, Elocution, Story Telling, Drama, and Group Singing. An Essay Competition in various languages is also held every year.
The Prize distribution function for the winners of first and second Prize is then held in December / January.
